Aims and Scope
Computational Statistics (COST) is an international journal which

This page is mainly meant as a platform for information exchange
between the members of the editorial board. If you are interested in
submitting a manuscript to our journal, please consult the

geographical regions in 2007, see the information on pooling AEs.

A step-by-step manual for
handling editors (i.e., associate or
guest editors) for the editorial manager reviewing system.
- 2006-11-01:

The new review support system Editorial Manager is
online and shall be used for all new submissions. The old system Editorial Express will
from now on only
be used for handling reviews which are already in progress. The move
to the new system is necessary because Springer moves all their
journals to Editorial Manager, which is also tightly integrated into
the production process for both the printed and online version of
the journal. All typesetting of final versions of manuscripts is now
done directly at Springer.

The main homepage of the journal is
now directly at
Springer
Verlag and can be accessed using the shortcut http://www.springer.com/180.
Informations & Manuals
- For administrative reasons Springer needs a unique
abbreviation of up to five letters for each journal. The
abbreviation chosen for
"Computational Statistics" is "COST" (yes, "CS" unfortunately is
already taken). We suggest to use "COST" as the
short form
wherever a short form is necessary, and especially avoid terms like
"CompStat" which
is often confused with the conference of the same name.
